Hot-Melt Material Coated High Waterproof and High Temperature Resistant Temperature Sensor

At present, most temperature sensors are epoxy coated.

Temperature sensor coated by epoxy contains an NTC thermal chip and wires. However, there will be some tiny little space at the joint of the epoxy and the wire, and water will go into the space. In addition, epoxy needs to be cured after coating, which takes a long time and the production efficiency is low. Last but not least, epoxy cannot be used in water for a long time, and it cannot be used in a high temperature environment above 200°C for a long time, neither, because in this environment, its function and temperature detection will be influence.

Due to the continuous development of society, higher and higher requirements for waterproof and high temperature resistance of temperature sensors are raised for home appliance. The epoxy coated temperature sensor with a temperature resistance of 200°C can no longer meet the requirements .

To solve this problem, Exsense Sensor has developed a hot-melt material coated high waterproof and high temperature resistant temperature sensor. The temperature sensor includes a glass-encapsulated thermistor to completely improve the waterproof performance, allowing the temperature measuring probe to work in a water for a long time. Its special design is that the glass-encapsulated thermistor and the wire (such as high-temperature-resistant Teflon wire) are thermally fused together with high-temperature-resistant materials, which allows the temperature-measuring probe to work in a high-temperature environment above 250°C, and meets the needs of household appliance. The coated probe is made of high temperature resistant material, and does not need to be cured after hot melting, which improves production efficiency.
