Outstanding Performance of NTC Temperature Sensor with High Stability and Fast Response
An NTC temperature sensor is an electronic component made of NTC chip from transition metal oxides such as manganese, cobalt, nickel, etc., processed by semiconductor technology. The NTC chips are thermally sensitive semiconductor resistors which exhibit a decrease in resistance as absolute temperature increases. NTC temperature sensors are generally composed of NTC thermistors, probes (metal housings or plastic housings, etc.), lead wires, and metal terminals/connectors.
With the rapid development of smart homes appliance, NTC temperature sensors are used in more and more fields. Higher requirements are raised for NTC temperature sensors: fast response to temperature changes and thermal shocks. It has good stability, high reliability, and can operate for a long time with precise temperature detection and control.
The high-stable and fast response NTC temperature sensor is composed of a glass-encapsulated NTC chip, a lead wire connected to the NTC chip, and a connector at the end of the lead wire. A heat-conducting silicone grease sealing layer is provided, an epoxy resin encapsulation layer for encapsulating heat-sensitive chips is provided at the inner port of the protective case, and a heat-insulating insulating layer is provided on the periphery of the leads. It advantages are excellent anti-stress performance under thermal shock, good stability, fast response and high reliability.
A.Connect the NTC chip and dumet wire by silver paste, then encapsulated by high temperature sintering, to build the finished insulated NTC thermistor
B.Coat the glass encapsulated NTC thermistor with insulated polyimide and save a little dumet wire at the end with no coating
C.Pot the NTC thermistor into a copper housing with 1/3 silicon gel at the housing’s bottom, then coat opening of housing with epoxy
D.Plastic inject the connector with nylon and fiberglass, and weld the lead and pins by welding machine.
